This year in tribute to Ernestine Bonn

Ernestine (“Ernie”) Bonn devoted more than three decades to serving and strengthening the University Heights community she loved. Through her leadership and volunteer service with organizations including the North Park Planning Committee, Uptown Planners, and the University Heights Community Development Corporation, she was a tireless advocate for the neighborhood’s vitality and character.

An avid reader and dedicated supporter of libraries, Ernie also spent 15 years with the University Heights Friends of the Library, helping to preserve and promote the neighborhood’s beloved library. Her legacy lives on through the many organizations, projects, and neighbors she inspired through her generosity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the University Heights community.
